Privacy policy
Last updated 11 October 2026
This explains what personal information Foreman collects, why, and how we look after it. It covers this website, the Foreman app, and the conversation Foreman holds on trades’ websites.
1.Who we are
Foreman is run by 360 Creation. In this policy, “Foreman”, “we” and “us” mean that business.
If you have any question about your information, email us at hello@getforeman.co.uk.
2.Two different roles
We handle personal information in two different ways, and the rules are different for each.
- For our own customers and visitors. When you visit this website, get in touch with us, try Foreman or pay for it, we decide what happens to your information. We are the controller.
- For the trades who use Foreman. When you make an enquiry with a trade through the Foreman conversation on their website, that trade decides what happens to your information, and we look after it for them. The trade is the controller and we are their processor. Their own privacy policy applies, and questions about it are best sent to them.
3.What we collect
Only what is needed to do the job:
- When you get in touch or try Foreman: your name, phone number, email address, your business and what you tell us about it.
- When you use the Foreman app: your login details, and the enquiries, jobs, diary entries, photos and figures you keep in it.
- When you pay: billing details. Card details are handled by our payment provider and never stored by us.
- When someone enquires with a trade: their name, phone number, email address, the address of the job, what they say about it and any photos they send.
- When you visit this website: the basic technical information any website receives, such as your browser and the pages asked for. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
4.How we use it
- To reply to you, set you up and give you the service you have asked for.
- To hold the conversation on trades’ websites: work out what the job is and pass it to the trade.
- To send the emails Foreman sends, such as a new enquiry, a visit being booked or a review request.
- To take payment and keep the records the law requires.
- To keep Foreman secure, fix problems and make it better.
The law lets us use your information where it is needed for a contract with you, where we have a legitimate interest in running and improving Foreman, or where the law requires it. We will never sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
5.The conversation on a website, and AI
A website using Foreman holds a short conversation to find out about a job. To do that, what is typed into it is sent to an AI service, OpenAI, which writes the replies. OpenAI processes it on our behalf under a data processing agreement and does not use it to train its models.
The conversation and the details found out are saved for the trade, so they can see the whole job in one place. Nobody is sent marketing because they used it.
7.How long we keep it
We keep information for as long as it is needed for the reason it was collected. If you are a customer, that is while you use Foreman and for a reasonable time after, then it is deleted. Billing records are kept for six years, as the law requires.
Enquiries made with a trade are kept for as long as that trade uses Foreman, unless they delete them sooner. When a trade leaves, their data is deleted within 90 days.
8.Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- ask us to correct it, or delete it
- object to us using it, or ask us to limit how we use it
- ask for it in a form you can take elsewhere
Email us to ask, and we will reply within a month. If your information came through a trade’s website, we will pass your request to them, or you can ask them directly.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We would rather you came to us first.
9.Keeping it safe
Information is sent over encrypted connections and stored with access limited to the people who need it. Each trade can only ever see their own enquiries and jobs.
10.Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, the new version will be posted here with a new date at the top. If the change is a big one, we will tell our customers by email.
